Great America Parking Relief
Q. The parking situation at the ACE terminal at Great America is
horrrrrible! A great number of people who live out of the valley area
and use Altamont Commuter Express during the week leave their cars
parked all weekend long on the streets at this station. Since there
are only a few parking places, those people wishing to take Amtrak on
the weekend are left without places to park. What can be done to fix
this situation?

A. Work should begin in another month to extend Stars and Stripes
Drive and add a parking lot here. This lot will provide an additional
209 parking spaces, including seven disabled and 10 motorcycle
parking spaces. Work will last until late August.
