Update 2001 July 23
BEE added two new routes from the Santa Clara station, with bus runs timed to mee ACE trains ! See maps and schedules.
Began 2001 March 05
The new BEE (Breathe Easy Express) shuttles are in addition to the VTA shuttles; these BEE shuttles serve the City of Santa Clara, the Santa Clara station and the Great America station.

These BEE shuttles:
  1. Meet each ACE train (six bus runs per day) from/to the Great America station through Santa Clara; and
  2. Meet various Caltrains (ten runs per day) from the Santa Clara station through the streets of Santa Clara, but depart 5, 12, and 3 minutes before ACE trains #01, #03, #05 arrive. The afternoon BEE schedule may be more useful to ACERiders.
An official schedule and maps are available in .PDF .
On the street, look for white BEE bus stop signs above select VTA bus stop signs.

Below is a key to understanding the Santa Clara train connection schedule in the .PDF

At the opening ceremonies in Santa Clara, councilperson Judy Nadler announced that the city was sponsoring both new shuttles and that they were running diesel buses until they got 31 seat electric hybrid ones. For more info call 1.866.BEE.XPRS
